The Office of the Executive Vice President and University Provost in partnership with Enterprise Technology and the Academic Enterprise implemented three products in the ASU Academic Personnel Actions Reporting System (APARS).
APARS is a “one-stop shopping” experience for academic personnel processes that leverages shared resources and improves service delivery, consistency and reporting for academic personnel, administrators and staff.
Noel Thiesing is the Executive Director of Engagements & Consulting Services in the University Technology Office at Arizona State University. She received her Bachelors of Science in Communication from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at ASU. Noel has been with the UTO in many different roles over the last 14 years including operations, development, project management, and client services. Today, her portfolio includes Products & Services Readiness, Engagements & Advising Services, Managed Solutions Engineering, and Managed Endpoint Support (UTO Deskside).
Wanda Dalla Costa, Architect, AIA, LEED A.P.
I have worked in technology sales for over 20 years and have worked closely with Higher Education institutions for the past 9 years helping to improve campus efficiencies and student outcomes. I currently work for Salesforce.org where we help campuses break down data silos to understand their constituents (prospective students, alumni, fans and current students) and deliver better results across advising, marketing and alumni giving.
Dr. Allison’s background combines music, disability and social sciences. Her experience has encompassed the use of music therapy with clients in vocational training programs, facilitating large systems change projects, executive coaching and work with diverse students in higher education. Her current responsibilities include development and expansion of services to provide alternative access accommodations to print and audio/video materials while helping faculty and staff proactively design for greater accessibility. Dr.
Tina Thorstenson is Deputy CIO for IT Governance, Policy, and Information Security at Arizona State University and also continues to serve as Chief Information Security Officer, a position she assumed in September 2009. Tina has spent the majority of her career aligning technology to the mission and goals of higher education institutions. She has significant experience implementing, enhancing and securing enterprise administrative systems and technology infrastructure.
Clayton Taylor, MBA, is the Director of the Business and Finance Organizational Performance Office in the Office of the Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer at Arizona State University. His office consults with nine diverse Business and Finance operational areas to lower costs, improve operational efficiency and provide the highest quality customer experience to internal and external customers.
Kimberly A. Scott is a professor of women and gender studies in the School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University (ASU) and the founding executive director of ASU’s Center for Gender Equity in Science and Technology (CGEST). Founded by Professor Scott, the center is a one-of-a-kind research unit focused on exploring, identifying, and creating innovative scholarship about underrepresented women and girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Center projects include the National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded COMPUGIRLS; U.S.
Philippos is the learning technologies manager in EdPlus at ASU. In August 2018, he led the launch of the first fully-online degree in the biological sciences powered by virtual simulations.
Nick Sabato, Director of Country Programs for the Education for Humanity initiative, leads ASU’s efforts in extending educational access to refugees, displaced and communities affected by displacement in the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa. He leads ASU’s operational efforts with the UN Refugee Agency, local humanitarian agency partners and government representatives in developing collaborative programs that prepare learners to meet their educational ambitions.
